New information video from SRTV

Anna

The film ‘Anna’, tells the story of Anna, an East-European lawyer who is unemployed and sees no future for herself in her own country. A girlfriend tells her about the possibility of working in the Netherlands in order to earn the money to set up her own law practice. Her story becomes shockingly clear when the viewer sees how she is sold by her ‘girlfriend’ to a pimp, who later sells her on. A client notices that she doesn’t find the work pleasant and gives her something extra.

The film aims to make the viewer aware of the fact that the customers really do have an influence on trafficking in women. The simple act of visiting an illegal prostitute keeps this business going. That’s why, among other things, the ending of the film includes the words: “You don’t want this on your conscience…” and “Clients can really make the difference…”
The film is also available in an English translation and can be used as the opening for a discussion with males or groups including males.

The film ‘Anna’ costs € 15 and can be obtained via SRTV and can be used in prevention and information programmes.

Together with the Protestant organisation 'Kerkinactie' (Churches in Action), the SRTV has produced this new informational video. This short film (8 min.) was made in cooperation with a young, small production team “Hij&Ik” (Him&Me).
